These are unprecedented times for us all. The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted supply chains, logistics and services, and, importantly, consumer demand. What is the most difficult element in all this is (to quote a veteran Hollywood scriptwriter) that no-one knows anything. The surfeit of contradictory information simply adds to the feeling of uncertainty in already uncertain times.

All of this creates risk in businesses. Everyone in a leadership position in an enterprise should be considering the very real prospect of economic and financial instability.

Often it is the case that knowing what one can do in these circumstances will assist in the thinking and planning that has to be undertaken as these events unfold. Whether this relates to employment issues, collecting outstanding debts, dealing with tenancy-related issues or even considering how one is financially structured and how the effect of that can be mitigated with cashflow not being as strong as one might have expected.

In addition to all of this, we can assist you in navigating the support for businesses and employees that the Chancellor has announced recently.

If you need to talk through the issues generally or get advice on your own enterprise’s circumstances, we are here and available to help. Do call either your usual contact at the firm, or Daldeep Jaswal, Alex Lee or Matthew Lewins at the numbers below. We can certainly organise a virtual meeting to enable the best advice to be given in these challenging times.
